BBE SOUND PARTNERS WITH INTERSIL D2AUDIO TO OFFER BBE ViVA HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO TECHNOLOGY
BBE ViVA Now Available on D2Audio Audio Processors
Huntington Beach, Calif., Jan. 6 2009 – BBE Sound, Inc., a leading developer of advanced sound technologies for the professional audio and consumer electronic markets and Intersil Corporation, the developer of the world’s only Intelligent Digital Amplifier ICs, announced today that BBE ViVA® High Definition 3D Sound technology for televisions is now available on D2Audio’s newest Integrated Circuit (“IC”), the D2-41258-LR, which is part of Intersil’s newest Digital Audio Engine family known as the DAE-4TM. Intersil will be demonstrating the IC at the upcoming 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2009, LVCC South Hall, booth #21902.
This 4th generation device combines extensive integrated DSP processing and configurable audio processing algorithms, for complete audio system control. With the addition of BBE ViVA, the SoC audio processor and Class-D amplifier controller provides an optimized feature set for high-volume and cost-critical products.

BBE ViVA HD3D Sound is a High Definition Sound widening technology that provides clean center channel output and a wider stereo imaging. The technology compensates for phase and amplitude distortion, restoring clarity and definition to the two-channel audio signal. This process reveals the natural spatial information carried primarily in the transients and harmonics of the upper frequencies. The sound field expansion process then receives the enhanced signal, accentuating the left-most and right-most spatial information and widens the stereo sound field. Targeted for today’s super-slim televisions that oftentimes lack sufficient stereo housing space, BBE ViVA HD3D is an ideal audio solution for high-end television makers.
