Basics: 20x9" and 20x10". Come with Hartge centering rings to fit the E38 72.56mm hub bore. The actual hub bore is 74mm so it seems Hartge figured that some Z8 owners would want to run them. Here's a link to the wheels section of the Hartge site for more technical and fitment data. Here's their section on the E38 program with a pic of Nova 7s. On an E38, the proper setup is 255/35/20 fronts and 285/30/20 rears as are on the wheels now.
I was running these Hartge Nova 7s on my E38 740iL for several years, but I like to change things around. These ones are chrome plated and the chrome is peeling off, and frankly, I was too lazy to either have them replated or just returned to silver with machined lip. I'd have used Wheels America for the job, the folks I go to to have wheels straightened and curb rash eliminated. Somehow, almost miraculously, given my frequency I visit them, the Nova 7s have escaped any curb rash or other unmentionable.
Most of the time these wheels were on the car, my wife was the primary driver. I suppose that makes it even more of a miracle they escaped injury. Once I put the 6-speed in, and the rather loud magnaflow exhaust system, she'd had it with the car and it became official Project Car fodder for yours truly.
Now the Nova 7s need someone else to show them the love they deserve. I'm not one to spotlight used tires, as my experience buying used wheels with "xx%!!" tread remaining is that they usually are crap. Anyway, either the fronts or rears have a pretty good amount of tread left. I think it's the backs. The fronts, if I remember correctly, aren't toast but you won't want to run them for long. These are Bridgestone Potenza S-03s, and though they are great rubber, they're usually 1 year tires. Heck, all the high-po tires are 1 year tires in my book. Roll them for a while, replace the fronts, get all four new, it's your call. I just don't want to get into a debate over how much tread there is here or there; just think you're buying wheels and any tire life is just a bonus. Sound fair?
The wheels, once upon a time, were $830 each in chrome. Of course, some wad of that is for the chrome, which is indeed toast. Maybe they're like $600 each in the silver finish, but for that price you get - ta da! - freshly finished wheels. Since you'll need to refin these, and because they're sucking up valuable space at my place and God knows when I'll buy something else I can strap them on to, I'm looking to unload these puppies.
I'm asking $1200 for the set. Shipping only make sense in the 48 states, which I estimate to be $150. I'll take care of proper packing (I've shipped wheels several times) so you won't get whacked for a packing charge.
Now for some pics. The ones below are 5" wide, and the link to "Medium" shows a 10" wide photo and the link to "Large" shows a whopper 15" in case you want to get up close and personal.
